Comments
The Archives are not a forum.  Inappropriate Archive comments will be deleted without warning.  The criteria for "inappropriate" cannot be specifically examined.  Use your common sense.  It will

Blog comments can be a little more broad in comments.  They are meant to criticize work before it is published.

Article comments are not where you post your criticism about the integrity of the work.  If you feel that the work is a little erred, take the time to create a new study and article that completes the information.  Then a comment can be made connecting the two; not as a correct source, but another source.  Not everyone's information is correct.  It is up to us to dig for the truth we believe in.  Comments can also be short additions, or single  fact alterations to the articles.

Articles
The articles are the main pieces of information in the Archives.  They are like the "published" versions of what people studied in their blogged research, or the stories they have come to learn during their adventures through Magic Duel.  The rules on articles are much more abstract because of the huge variations they can form as.  A few general guidelines are:
  • Use Pages.  I can't stress this enough.  Articles shouldn't have more than 40-50 lines per page.  There is a "Add Another Page" button when you're posting the article.  PLEASE use it.
  • Organize by chapters.  This is just useful.  Using the subtitles to explain page summaries can help speed searching.
  • Be specific.  There will be some general articles.  But, mostly the articles should be pretty specific.  This prevents articles from being 20 and 30 pages long, which could easily be the product of something like Chemistry.  If you're going to do a complete works on something, organize articles by volume.  Like "Fundamentals of Chemistry: Vol. 1" that explains Scientific Notation and other little stuff of the sort that helps set the stage for learning chemistry.

Blogs

Blogs are to be used for only one thing.  Other uses of the blogs will be deleted.
    Research
Research includes the current workings of your studies that you hope to publish as an article at a later time when all of the research is available and presented.  This can include stories as well as new discoveries.  As the real world, it is not limited to just scientific study, nor is it limited to studies of Magic Duel.

Blogs do not have a word limit, although 300 words is preferred for courtesy's sake.  Aim for making an article out of your blog.  That should help you be more concise in your blog, and thereby keep it shorter.

If you aren't sure what your blog will like when you type it up, a sample can be found here.

~~~
Imagine the Archives as a physical library.  The blogs are people's notes as they sit at a table, shuffling through books to find answers to their studies.  This is the time for people to influence their thoughts.  Then they publish their findings, and the articles become the books that someone else uses to create their own thoughts and ideas, either for better or for worse, depending on how they research.
