Great German Landsknecht Sword

The German Landsknecht sword is a must for the serious
weapons collector.
This enormous sword is not for the faint of heart.




..as Great Landsknecht Swords were wielded by only
the strongest and most fearless soldiers of the Middle Ages.
Its main purpose was used to down charging horsemen and
cut off oncoming pike heads.
The size and weight of the weapon, made it unsuited for
close formation fighting, and its use was reserved for
banner defense, guarding breeches in siege warfare, and
forming skirmish lines. A true masterpiece.
